British singer/songwriter Tulisa Contostavlos has achieved rather a lot in rather a tiny amount of time. She first came to our attention as part of N-Dubz before launching a successful solo career. With the FHM's Sexiest Woman in the World 2012 title to her name along with her judging stint on The X Factor's current panel we jumped at the chance to chat tracksuits, trainers, bad fashion and her views on a good old cup of tea!
Who is your style icon and why?
I don't really have a style icon or a favourite designer. At the moment I am loving 50s fashion. I love Diana Dors' style. With my blonde hair it's easier to re-create that look. The shoot that I did for Look Magazine - that is a look that I love as I've always been a fan of the oldies.
Describe your style in four words:
1. Cheeky
2. Street
3. Glam
4. Accessible
What was your last fashion faux pas?
I personally can't remember one. When I wear something, it's right for me to wear it at the time. However, my whole wardrobe is probably a fashion faux pas to everyone else!
What is your most treasured piece of clothing?
My onesie. It has to be my onesie, I live in it!
What is your most extravagant fashion purchase?
My Chanel bag.
What do you wear when nobody's looking?
A tracksuit. As soon as I get home I want to be comfortable, so the first thing I do is put on a tracksuit.
What's your fashion weakness? What item do you own multiple versions of?
Nude heels! They are so practical and go with virtually everything. Plus white trainers. You can never have enough pairs of white trainers.
Describe the best outfit you've ever worn.
It would have to be the black Versace dress that I wore to the FHM Awards.
What's your best piece of fashion advice?
Break the rules. You're not going to be everyone's cup of tea, and if you were, you'd be a mug!
