Manchester United brought an end to the Asian leg of their pre-season tour with a routine 5-2 defeat of Kitchee SC in Hong Kong.

Danny Welbeck, Chris Smalling, Fabio da Silva, Adnan Januzaj and Jesse Lingard - all aged 23 or under - struck for the Barclays Premier League champions for a second win in five under David Moyes.

Encouragingly for Moyes, no players picked up injuries on the infamous Hong Kong turf, which has counted Tottenham's Jan Vertonghen and Manchester City's Matija Nastasić amongst its casualties over the past week.

Warrington lad Lingard, 20, hit the pick of the goals with a sweetly struck effort for United's fifth and his fourth on the tour.

A boyhood United fan, Lingard is a 2011 Youth Cup winner with United but failed to excel on loan at Leicester City last season, unlike United teammate Michael Keane, who made his first start in Asia at centre-back beside Smalling.

However the quality and quantity of Lingard's goals have underlined his qualities ahead of a likely loan spell next term.

The raw Wilfried Zaha impressed again for United, as he seems set to begin the season as the club's first-choice winger.
