The Premier League's popularity around the globe has wowed Asia, Australasia and Africa but not necessarily America. Until now.

One can gauge the surge in excitement for English football's top tier just by NBC's method to promote the new season on the New York subway.

NBC, who have acquired the rights to show live Premier League football in North America this coming season, have decorated the inside and outside of subway cars, advertising the rivalry between Manchester United and Manchester City, as well as Arsenal and Tottenham.

Arsenal or Spurs?

The nifty marketing idea invites commuters to pick their team, although the downside is it does feature another irritating "Keep calm" message.
