'Loose Women' Star To Join 'EastEnders'

'Loose Women' star Lisa Maxwell is joining 'EastEnders' as David Wicks’ girlfriend.

The former 'The Bill' actress will arrive in Walford next month as new character Naomi when Michael French returns to the soap as womaniser Wicks.

However, she's not going to stick around in Albert Square for long...

Maxwell will appear in just one episode in September.

She commented: “I’ve had a fantastic time filming at 'EastEnders'.

“I can honestly say it’s one of the happiest jobs I’ve done.

“Michael French is an amazing actor and to be part of such an iconic character’s return to the Square felt very special.”

Digital Spy reports that an EastEnders statement teased: "Viewers won't be surprised to see the Lothario with a woman in tow, however things aren't quite what they seem when the past quickly catches up with them."

David Wicks is just the latest character confirmed to make a return to the show in a bid to turn flagging viewing figures around.

Samantha Womack will return as Ronnie Mitchell and Barbara Windsor will reprise her role as Peggy Mitchell for one episode.

Executives on the show are said to be confident that the return of some familiar faces and big storylines - including Phil Mitchell being involved in a car crash - will win back viewers who have switched off - and attract new ones.
