The new Google Nexus 7 tablet will be released on August 28. Unless it isn't. Or is already out by then.
Conflicting reports have emerged on the availability of Google and Asus' tasty-looking new seven inch device.
Pocket-Lint quoted a source at Asus as saying the tablet would be available at midnight on August 27 in some retailers - essentially an August 28 mainstream launch.
They also suggest that the tablet will cost £199 for the 16GB WiFi only model, and £239 for the 32GB version.
However, other retailers are apparently insisting that the new tablet will in fact be available by August 24.
Ebuyer had previously "guaranteed" delivery of the Nexus by August 24, and according to various tech sites is sticking to that date.
Either way, it looks like the last week of August is a good bet if you want to get hold of the new Android tablet kingpin.
Google has not commented on the rumours, however.
