TV Choice Awards: Ant And Dec Win Big

Ant and Dec were the big winners at Monday night's TV Choice Awards, as the telly duo collected a trio of awards.

The lads landed prizes for Best Reality Show for 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!', Best Talent Show for 'Britain's Got Talent', and Best Entertainment Show for 'Ant And Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway'.

Hit ITV murder mystery drama 'Broadchurch' was also another major winner, scooping the award for Best New Drama and David Tennant collecting the Best Actor trophy for the series.

However, Broadchurch's stand-out star Olivia Colman was beaten to the prize for Best Actress by Call The Midwife's Miranda Hart.

'Doctor Who' also collected two gongs, being named Best Drama Series, as well as being given an honorary gold award to mark its 50th anniversary later this year.

The programme's executive producer Steven Moffat collected the award on behalf of the long-running sci-fi series, which will soon see Matt Smith hand over to Peter Capaldi in the lead role as The Doctor.

Elsewhere, 'Mrs Brown's Boys' retained its title as Best Comedy, while 'Coronation Street' took the keenly fought Best Soap Award.

The show also landed the Best Soap Actress prize with a recently engaged Michelle Keegan collecting the title for her role as Tina McIntyre.

BBC One rival 'EastEnders' also enjoyed its share of wins with Shane Richie named Best Soap Actor for playing Alfie Moon. His co-star David Witts, who plays brooding Joey Branning, was also honoured as Best Soap Newcomer.

Best Daytime Programme went to 'The Jeremy Kyle Show' for the third year running.

Winners at the ceremony were voted by viewers and readers of the magazine.
