QPR manager Harry Redknapp is keen to bring in Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor on loan but admits the chances are remote.

Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto have already arrived at Loftus Road from Spurs on loan, and striker Adebayor has been told to train with the reserves having fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane.

But former Spurs boss Redknapp says it would be difficult to persuade the 29-year-old to drop down to the Championship.

Redknapp brought Adebayor to Spurs on a season-long loan in 2011

"He'd be a great loan, that's for sure," said Redknapp.

"I don't know what will happen with him. He's a good player but it's up to Tottenham, they have lots of good players.

"He can't go on loan in the Premier League, he can only go into the Championship but whether he'd want to do that - it would be difficult I think."
