Lily Allen will reportedly make her music comeback this Christmas with a cover of Keane's 2004 song 'Somewhere Only We Know'.
The 'Shame For You' singer, who sensationally quit the music industry in 2009, confirmed she would be making a pop return this August with a new album expected in 2014.
And now Music Week has claimed Allen will be the voice of John Lewis's Christmas adverts with the Keane cover, although alternative tracks have been considered.
Last year, the John Lewis team used Gabrielle Aplin’s cover of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s 'Power of Love' to promote their festive goodies. Her version became an official UK number one single following the popularity of the advert, which saw two snowmen lovingly reunited after a long separation.
Allen has also been confirmed to duet with Robbie Williams on his forthcoming album 'Swing Both Ways', the follow-up to his 2001 big band LP 'Swing When You're Winning'.
