Whereas London has been blighted by racist outbursts, which have subsequently been posted on YouTube, passengers on a bus in Chicago witnessed a rant in which a man is seen shouting at a fellow passenger about same-sex marriage.
To explain, Illinois made the historic move of becoming America’s 15th state to allow gay marriage this week, legislation that was greeted by overall celebration. But at least one man was not happy, setting about his fellow traveller, referencing "rapists and paedophiles" and "homosexuals" in an expletive-heavy diatribe.
