Man And Woman Killed In Light Aircraft Crash In Broughton, North Wales

Two people have died after a light aircraft crash near a runway at Airbus UK in Broughton, North Wales.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman involved died in hospital.

North Wales Police were informed of the incident involving a twin-engine aircraft in Broughton at about 1.10pm on Friday.

A police spokesman said: "The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where she later died.

"Police are currently at the scene and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has been informed. A full investigation will be undertaken to establish the full circumstances of the incident."
