Arsenal players are so excited about Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day they have pulled out their best woolly jumpers early.

Per Mertesacker, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Łukasz Fabiański, Emmanuel Frimpong and Lukas Podolski all donned some festive attire to support the campaign.

This Friday, Save the Children is calling on people across the UK to help make the world better with a sweater and take part in the tradition of wearing a kitsch Christmas jumper in exchange for a £1 donation to raise money for its life saving work with children the world over.

Arsenal’s partnership with Save the Children is helping the poorest children to get a better start in life and giving them the chance to grow and fulfil their potential.

The Gunners' Premier League match with Everton was dedicated to the Arsenal Foundation, which supports a range of education projects in the UK and overseas, including those of its global charity partner, Save the Children.
