New Trio Joining 'Loose Women'?

Denise Van Outen, Rochelle Humes and Angela Griffin are set to join 'Loose Women' to attract younger viewers, it has been reported.

The Sun claims that the trio are being brought in by ITV's new Head Of Daytime, Helen Warner, who believes the show is currently, "too old, white and posh".

According to the paper, current panelists Sally Lindsay, Janet Street Porter, Linda Robson and Sherrie Hewson will also have their contracts changed to appear on fewer shows as part of the shake up.

However, some TV insiders believe bringing in new, younger faces is a risk for the show, which has seen ratings slide in recent years.

A source told The Sun: "ITV bosses aren’t impressed with the sliding viewing figures so bringing in younger, more diverse hosts is a gamble.

"They have been told that if this latest throw of the dice doesn’t work then the show might not have a future."

The changes come after the departures of long-serving hosts Carol McGiffin and Denise Welsh and the return of former panelists Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha, Coleen Nolan and Jane Moore.

Denise quit the show in a blaze of glory after it was announced Coleen was making a comeback, claiming she didn't believe the Helen was leading the show in the right direction.

"Every show needs a shake-up. But the way the show's going, I've felt that my wings have been clipped. I feel the way the show is going is losing the fun of it," she told The Mirror.
