Adele will make a rare public appearance this week after being awarded an MBE from the Queen.
The 25-year-old singer - who has kept a low profile for the majority of 2013 since giving birth to her first child - has been named in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for her services to the music industry.

Other recipients of an MBE this year include 'Daybreak' presenter Aled Jones, singer-songwriter PJ Harvey and author Joanne Harris.
Sports broadcaster Claire Balding will be honoured with an OBE.
After spending this year looking after her son, Angelo, with her partner Simon Konecki, Adele is rumoured to be returning to the studio and releasing the follow up to her multi-platinum album, '21', in 2014.
