Rylan Clark has spoken out over the coverage of Tom Daley's announcement that he is in a relationship with a man, saying the Olympic diver's revelation was 'overdone'.
The openly gay star, who shot to fame on 'The X Factor', says he's shocked that it's still big news when a celebrity comes out as gay.

He told The Sun: “Not to take anything away from Tom, it is still hard to come out, but I haven’t come out as gay yet I don’t think.
“What about people like Alan Carr, Gok Wan, Graham Norton and me – people who are on TV who have never hidden their sexuality? What do we get? We don’t get recognition.
“Good luck to Tom. I hope he is happy but I just think it’s a bit overdone.”
Earlier this month, Rylan spoke out to defend his friend, 'X Factor' winner James Arthur, over accusations he's homophobic.
"James has had a rough couple of weeks and I'm going to say my piece on this - James is one of my best friends and I can hand on heart sit here and say he's not homophobic," he said.
