Eva Herzigova Uses Vodka On Her Hair - Really

When it comes to sharing beauty secrets - especially those that promise glossy gorgeous tresses - we all want in, right? Czech supermodel Eva, who is the cover girl for Vogue Thailand's January issue, revealed a few tips about looking absolutely fabulous to French Marie Claire at the end of last year. The surprising product of choice? Vodka. Yes, really.

"[Vodka] I use it to lighten my blonde hair... and it really works! My recipes? Never too much sun, drink plenty of water, rest and feel loved!"

The 40 year-old model might just be on to something here, vodka in the ol' beauty regime is definitely something we can get on board with. For real though, using vodka on your hair has proven benefits including:

1. High shine: Not only does vodka lower the ph level of your hair but using it as a final rinse by diluting it with water will have your locks looking super shiny. To supermodel effect.

2. De-frizzing: Get on the DIY case and add 10ml of vodka to a 60ml bottle of your favourite conditioner for an instant de-frizz. You'll be laughing in the face of January down-pours.

3. Anti-dandruff: If your prone to getting a little dandruff now and then, vodka is a fab remedy. Just mix it with a natural ingredient like crushed rosemary leaves, leave to for up to 2 hours, strain, and then massage into your scalp.
