'Elderly' Chihuahua Left On Train – Come On Internet, Let's Reunite Him With His Owners! (PICTURES)

Animal welfare officers are desperately trying to trace the owners of an “elderly” Chihuahua who was left on a train last week.

The sandy-coloured hound was discovered in a carry-case by a guard on the Arriva Trains’ Manchester Piccadilly to Carmarthen service on Thursday afternoon.

Though he is micro-chipped, the little chap’s owners have not been identified as the chip was not issued in the UK.

This Chihuahua was found in a carry-case on the Arriva Trains’ Manchester Piccadilly to Carmarthen service on Thursday afternoon

The RSPCA is currently caring for him and say he’s friendly, is in good health and seems to be used to being carried.

Inspector Nic De Celis said: “There could be someone out there who is missing this dog and is frantic with worry and we’d really like to reunite them with their pet. But at the moment the reason why this dog was left alone on the train is a complete mystery.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who has any information, whether they noticed the dog while travelling on the train or if they know of someone who is missing a Chihuahua”.

He is described as elderly, friendly, healthy and used to being carried

Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to to contact the inspector’s information line on 0300 123 8018 where they can leave a message for Inspector De Celis. All calls will be treated in confidence.

Come on internet, we can do this!
