Holocaust Memorial Day was remembered around in Europe, Israel and beyond on Monday, with Members of Israeli parliament attending a ceremony in the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Oswiecim, Poland. They were joined by former concentration camp prisoners of the camp.
In Israel, members of the public visited the Hall of Names at the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum, which commemorates the six million Jews killed by the Nazis during World War II, while in Germany, while in Germany people paid their respects at the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin.
