A massive 'car vending machine' has been launched in China to give customers on-demand access to electric vehicles.
The massive building-sized facility works just like a normal vending machine: you walk up, press some buttons, and step inside a fully charged electric car for just $3 an hour.
Launched by Kandi Technologies in Hangzhou, China, the idea is to extent bike sharing schemes to other sorts of transport.

The small cars are pretty limited - they have a range of 75 miles and a max speed of 50 miles per hour.
But so far it's been pretty successful. It already has two of the machines, and is planning 10 more for 2014.
