What a difference five years makes.
Back in 2009, WhatsApp co-founder sent out the following tweet after going for a job at Facebook:
Facebook turned me down. It was a great opportunity to connect with some fantastic people. Looking forward to life's next adventure.— Brian Acton (@brianacton) August 3, 2009
He went for a job. They turned him down. But Acton remained upbeat. He had another plan.
A plan that today he and his fellow founders sold - to Facebook - for as much as $19 billion.
Oddly enough, Acton was also turned down by Twitter:
Got denied by Twitter HQ. That's ok. Would have been a long commute.— Brian Acton (@brianacton) May 23, 2009
And he also hasn't Tweeted in more than a year. His last tweet?
