Susanna Reid was meant to be celebrating yesterday, after being named as the new face of ITV's breakfast schedule.
Instead, the BBC presenter found herself confirming the end of her long relationship with partner Dominic Cotton, after he'd posted an ad of himself on a dating site.
It seems the 'Strictly Come Dancing' curse has struck again.
Reports of their break up emerged after Dominic Cotton listed himself as 'separated' on the dating site, Match.com.
And, yesterday, her agent confirmed the split: “Susanna Reid and Dominic Cotton have agreed to separate but remain good friends. The welfare of their children remains paramount.”
The Sun reports that this meant yesterday's big announcement from ITV that they had managed to scoop up Susanna to front their new breakfast TV line-up had to on the back burner.
Susanna is believed to have signed a £1million-a-year contract to help revive 'Good Morning Britain', set to replace the always-doomed 'Daybreak' in the schedule.
However, last month she said her loyalties remained with the Beeb.
“My plan is to carry on turning up at BBC Breakfast at 5am and doing what I love,” she said.
Susanna's love split is being put down to the 43-year-old's gruelling work schedule, which sees her commute from London to Salford at 3.30am in the week. The 'Strictly' tour has also kept her busy.
Susanna was a runner-up in the 2013 series after finding dancefloor chemistry with Kevin Clifton.
But she's not the first star whose relationship has hit the rocks after the show...
Countdown beauty Rachel Riley split from her millionaire husband of just 15 months following her stint on 'Strictly'.
Boxer Joe Calzaghe and Kristina Rihanoff got together in 2009 after he dumped his girlfriend just one week into the show.
And on the first first series of 'Strictly' in 2004 fellow newsreader Natasha Kaplinksy was rumoured to have grown close to dancing partner Brendan Cole.
The pair were plagued by affair rumours – Natasha later dumped her partner of 12 years and Brendan ditched fellow pro Camilla Dallerup.
