It looked like it might be curtains for this baby bear after he was spotted looking somewhat stranded on a roadside in British Columbia.
The cub had got over the barrier and toppled to the side of the road, in footage shot this weekend by Ricky Forbes in Canada's Kootenay National Park.

Come on little bear: Mama to the rescue
For Forbes’s footage reveals mama bear swiftly popping up over the obstruction, scooping up her baby by the scruff of his neck and plopping him back down to safety.
Forbes told Canada's Metro News: "It all happened within a few moments.
