Usually celeb selfies are seen as a bit self-indulgent - whether they are doing the downward dog on Table Mountain or Instagramming their holiday snaps at an expensive hotel where we'd just about be able to afford a glass of water.
But breastfeeding pictures we feel, are neutral territory, because they join the fight against authorities and pencil-pushers that view breastfeeding as something shameful, which needs to take place in toilets and other gross corners of public areas.
So well done Russian model Natalia Vodianova for posting a pic of yourself breastfeeding baby Maxim on Instagram, following in the footsteps of Gisele.
It won't solve world peace but it helps to create awareness around the issue.
The UK currently has one of the lowest breastfeeding rates. Blogging for HuffPost UK Lifestyle, Lottie Daley wrote about our need for more 'lactivists', she writes: "Women not breastfeeding their babies is a public health problem. We need a gargantuan shift in cultural perceptions of what's normal."
