Father's Day: The Pieces Of Wisdom Our Dads Gave Us (Even If They Didn't Realise They Were Doing So)

Father's Day may be about the giving of socks, ties and cooking our dads a well-intentioned (but perhaps partially burnt) roast.

But it's also about re-connecting with our dads and thanking them for all the words of wisdom they have given us, or that we have simply learned by watching how they went about their own lives.

Some of it is great life advice while some is a bit patchy (yes Dad, I HAVE remembered to take my DVT socks on my flight), but however they package it up (usually brutally frank and with a dollop of humour), it is almost always out of love.

Dads everywhere, we salute you!
