Carol Vorderman Flies Herself To Glorious Goodwood, Doesn't Give Tom Cruise A Ride (PICS)

Carol Vorderman enjoyed a stylish day out at the races on Thursday, after arriving in style by flying herself to Glorious Goodwood.

Carol’s currently preparing to fly solo around the world and decided to have a bit of practice by setting off for the racing in her tiny plane.

The former ‘Loose Women’ presenter shared a snap of her plane on Twitter after arriving at Goodwood, writing: “Flew I of Man to Glorious Goodwood. Perfect apart from my poor Sputts plane had a tyre blowout on landing #boo x”

Tom Cruise was also in attendance at the races, though he arrived the boring way, taking a car to the West Sussex race course.

Carol opted to don a jumpsuit, with a hat, of course, and showed off her award-winning figure.

Carol’s plan to fly solo around the world hasn’t been a hit with everyone and actor and pilot Martin Shaw has criticised the TV presenter, labelling her plan “insane” and stating that she’s not experienced enough for the challenge.

In October last year, Carol had to make an emergency landing during a solo flight after smelling smoke in the cockpit at 1,200 ft.

She managed to land the Piper PA-28 plane safely after air traffic control cleared the runway and had fire engines on standby at the scene.
