Dry skin is inevitable during the winter months and guess which part of our bodies needs extra care and attention in cold weather? Our hands.
While exfoliating and moisturising is a regular part of our skincare routines, hands need that extra bit of TLC too.
So - what's the best way to protect our hands, nails and cuticles from the harsh winter weather? Katherine Pye, head of product development at Bamford, explains.
"During the winter months it's important to keep well hydrated, maintain the moisture levels of the skin and protect your hands by increasing the skin's barrier function," Pye told us.
Her top tip? "Apply hand cream to damp skin as it absorbs and retains moisture better and will penetrate to a deeper level."
Now it just comes down to finding a soothing cream or balm that you can keep on your desk or in your bag for when your hands need it most.
