A job centre worker branded a breastfeeding mother 'disgusting' and ordered her to leave.
Mum-of-five Tara Powell, 29, was being interviewed for Income Support when her hungry four-month-old baby Preston started to cry.
Her interviewer then said she felt 'uncomfortable' with the breastfeeding and halted the meeting, delaying Tara's application.
Tara said: "She kept saying it was disgusting. She was really irate and shouting at me.
"When I refused to stop feeding she said she was cancelling the appointment and I would have to book another time.
"There's no law against it and I can feed my baby anywhere I like."
Tara, from Orpington, Kent, has now made an official complaint. No one from the centre in nearby Bromley was available for comment.
