Drew Barrymore is a beauty guru. The actress launched her cosmetics line Flower Power in 2013 and she worked with Cover Girl as creative director for six years before that. So - when Barrymore shares her makeup secrets, we're going to listen.
In an interview with The Cut, Barrymore talked about how she thinks of her beauty business as a way "to make women feel good and empowered," and revealed her "three-step skincare routine."
"I use a cleanser from the facialist Christine Chin," Barrymore told the site. "It's super-expensive and that bums me out because I'm used to drugstore brands. I also love brightening serums now. I have the patchiest, reddest, most hideous/discoloured skin, so those brighteners are really a lifesaver."
As for her answer to maintaining that radiant glow, Drew has been "a green-drinker" for years. "But otherwise, it's just toners, brighteners, and any under-eye love I can possibly get," she said.
However, for Drew, makeup is also an empowering tool. When ask how she would respond to critics who say it isn't, she confirmed it's all down to one particular product.
"I think concealer is empowering. Absolutely. I felt so good yesterday because someone had done my hair and makeup. This was after months of not fitting into clothes and having very patchy skin and bad-hair days for about six months. I felt so lucky and grateful that someone waved a magic wand on me."
And when she gets caught on camera without any makeup on? "I just don't care. I don't think it's real."
Suddenly, we love Drew Barrymore even more.
