Even in the depressing pantheon of trolling stories, this one begs the question: "How low can these morons go?"
The latest example of the trolling curse happened in Houston, Texas, where a couple said their baby daughter's bedroom monitor was hacked by an idiot who used it to yell obscenities at the little girl.
According to ABC News, Marc Gilbert and his wife, Lauren, were doing the dishes when they heard unusual noises coming from their daughter's bedroom.
When they entered the room, they heard what sounded like a voice with a European or British accent calling the girl an 'effing moron' (which is rich!) and telling her to 'wake up you little slut'.
The hacker then shifted his attention to the couple, calling Marc a 'moron' and his wife a 'bitch'. Beggars belief, doesn't it?
The virtual intruder was also able to manoeuvre the video monitor, controlling the direction in which it moved. Marc immediately ripped the monitor out of the wall.
Luckily, he said, his daughter did not hear any of the obscenities – because she's deaf.
Marc said he did not report the incident to police. He also said he's stopped using baby monitors for the time being.
