As with most A-list movie stars, when they start dishing out their best-kept hair and makeup secrets, we're all ears. And when Kate Bosworth shares her beauty secrets? We're definitely making notes.
The actress spoke to Into The Gloss about her favourite makeup products - and revealed how she gets her hair and skin to look this good...
"I'm pretty careful about my hair," Bosworth says. "I see David Adams... He took me red for the last role I did, for a film [Still Alice] with Julianne Moore, which was a huge change. I loved being a redhead; I noticed my eyes more, having that shade against the blue and the green of my eyes."
She swears by Pureology and Aveda shampoos and Harry Josh's hair dryer. "My mom has one and I have one. He [Harry Josh] took my virginity in that way - I didn't even own a hairdryer before Harry's hairdryer!" she says.
Then there's her always flawless complexion. As the face of SK-II, Kate has tried her fair share of the brand's products. And yes, she really does use them.
"They [SK-11] really wanted to know if I was a fan of the product before I came on board," she admits. "My agent casually asked me, 'Do you use SK-II?'... And I said, 'Yes, I love their products, I've used them for years!"
Two of her must-haves include the SK-II Cleanser ("always, morning and night") and the Facial Treatment Essence.
And when it comes to makeup, Kate's philosophy is "less is more." Although she's always searching for the perfect foundation (her current fave is the YSL Touche Eclat), Kate's secret to that dewy complexion lies in the application of the product.
"I don't want tons of layers and heaviness," she says. "I like being able to use my cheek product on my eye and my lip and just put on my favourite mascara, Le Volume de Chanel, and maybe a little bit of highlighter."
A good foundation, mascara and something for the cheeks. Kate makes it sound so easy.
