An intricate braided updo can always be counted on. After all, it's the prettiest hairstyle on the red carpet, isn't it?
Kelly Osbourne doesn't think so. The star showed off her silver Rami Al Ali prom dress paired with the not-so-pretty plaits at the American Music Awards in LA on Sunday.
How did her hair look? We're undecided.
On one hand, the lilac shade and plaited ombre ballerina bun was super sweet. On the other, those studded hair grips said 'stay away - I'm spiky'.
And was this style a bit on the busy side? With statement earrings and a sequin-embellished dress, perhaps a simple crown braid might have looked a little more effortless.
There was one thing that deserved some beauty points though - Kelly's nails. The pointed black tipped shape is very on trend for S/S14. And we have to say it. That's one very sparkly diamond ring too.
