Barry Davies will be making a special return to the gantry this Saturday when he commentates on Crystal Palace and West Ham United's Premier League fixture at Selhurst Park for Match of the Day.

One of the most revered British football commentators, Davies has not leant his voice to the BBC's flagship Saturday night show since 2004, when Arsenal recorded a 1-0 victory at Manchester City.

He has continued to commentate for the BBC on the Boat Race, Wimbledon and the London 2012 Olympics, however Davies is best known for providing the soundtrack to countless memorable moments at the match.
