Cartoon Make Up Looks Better Than You Think

Cartoon Make Up Looks Better Than You Think

There's a new style of selfie to know about and it's going to take more than simply stripping off and showing your naked back to perfect this one.

Make up artist Laura Jenkinson spends hours creating cartoon character 'lip art' on her face before sharing her masterpieces with fans on Instagram. Face-painting has had a facelift and it's seriously, seriously good.

Laura paints everything from Disney characters to Super Mario onto her chin. Her favourite design? It's the brilliant Tasmanian Devil (above).

Her funny artwork has earned the make up professional a staggering 26,198 followers on Instagram and is popular with fans and friends alike.

"All my friends want me to do it their mouths," she told The Independent. "It's quite popular around Halloween."

Laura also showcases her cartoon make up on her beauty blog where she recently announced that her next design will appear alongside a video tutorial. Hurrah!

Along with her playful 'lip art', Laura also regularly posts product recommendations and beauty reviews to the site.

Laura isn't the only one who has been messing around with traditional make up rules lately.

Vibrant purple lipstick has been all over the catwalk, while Rihanna pulled off bright green hair for her campaign for Mac's Viva Glam lipstick.

WAH London's brand new collection of nail polishes, pens and press on designs will also satisfy even the most die-hard nail-art fans.

If ever there was a time to go bold and be brave with your make up, it's now.
