The T3 Awards are the year's biggest chance for tech fans to reward their favourite companies and products for a job well done.

This year's awards are coming up on October 2nd, but ahead of the show we wanted to highlight 10 nominees for the Design Innovation Award -- for which, coincidentally, we're the media partner.

So what is the Design Innovation Award?

Essentially, it's the gong given to the single concept, product or idea which emerged in 2014 and seems most to come straight from the future.

T3 describes it thus:

"It's all about how they change the way we view existing tech categories, or invent new ones. This is tomorrow's tech, today."

We couldn't be happier to be promoting this category - innovation, ideas and (frankly) weird conceptual invention is exactly what we love around these parts…

So ahead of the awards, check out the 10 most innovative products of the year below - and head over to T3 to see the rest of the nominees and awards coverage.
