Kylie Minogue said she wanted to strip things back for her latest tour and she did just that, literally, as she kicked off her 'Kiss Me Once' European tour in Liverpool on Wednesday night.
The 46-year-old vamped it up in a whole host of revealing stage costumes cooked up by some of the world's leading fashion designers.
She arrived on stage on top of a huge pair of lips - a nod to the artwork of her latest album 'Kiss Me Once' - and started the show as she meant to go on with the album track 'Les Sex'.
And it wasn't long before the star was flashing that famous derriere of hers in a corseted red number, complete with fascinator, designed by Italian duo (and Kylie's bezzies) Dolce & Gabbana.
One of the show's highlights saw the star recreating the video for her 1987 debut UK hit 'I Should Be So Lucky' as she sang in a bubble bath before being helped out by a semi-naked dancer to reveal an outfit featuring fishnet stockings, a garter belt and a pompom in her hair.
Yep, Kylie certainly knows her audience.
She told the packed arena: “It’s a dream come true for me to be out on the road. It’s a dream come true to be here playing for you tonight.”
Speaking about the tour recently - which will include 31 shows in 15 countries - she said: "I'm currently obsessed with this kind of 1970s, soft-focus sexiness - I mean, I'm on the verge of putting a brown-orange sofa and maybe an orange lamp in my house.
"My shows have a reputation for being over-the-top, but I really want this one to be more streamlined, with more of that vibe.
"There will probably still be glitter and feathers. I just definitely don't think bigger is necessarily better."
