Arrogant and French, Layvin Kurzawa could not resist goading Sweden striker John Guidetti after his 87th minute goal put France ahead in their Under-21 European Championship qualifier on goal difference. What happened next was so, so sweet for schadenfreude enthusiasts.
"Enjoy it on the telly," Kurzawa might have said with his gesture. France, leading via an away goal, were on their way to the Czech Republic and Sweden weren't.
How hilarious then that Oscar Lewicki responded immediately, much to Guidetti's - and his teammates' - delight to send Sweden through at France's expense 4-3 on aggregate.
"I don’t think it’s normal," France coach Pierre Mankowski said of Kurzawa's provocative celebration. "We have to respect everyone and especially our rival, even more with the game they played tonight."
