How much trouble are we in with ebola?
If we're taking the word of these tech entrepreneurs, more than we're probably willing to admit.
Infected Flight is a web app which can model how diseases spread, including ebola. Modelled using a new set of differential equations, the app can recreate how diseases move across the world using realtime flight data.
It's a modelling tool rather than a tracker - meaning it's aimed more at simulating infections, than checking how real infections are progressing. But it's an interesting insight into ways scientists are trying to prevent the next global pandemic.
Most amazing of all? It was made in just 24 hours. No wonder it won the Techcrunch Hackathon prize.
