Move over, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. There's a new L'Oréal Paris girl to know about.
Dame Helen Mirren has been named as the brand's latest ambassador. The 69-year-old actress will represent the Age Perfect anti-ageing range as she joins fellow L'Oréal stars Cheryl, Blake Lively and Zoe Saldana as the face of the cosmetics giant.
Of course Mirren, who received an Oscar for her role in the Queen in 2006, is delighted with her new job, although she admits she's never thought of herself as a supermodel.
"I am not gorgeous and I never was, but I was always OK looking and I'm keen to stay that way," she told the brand.
"I have always loved the L'Oréal Paris brand and I am truly delighted to become an ambassador and join such an impressive group of high-achievers. I hope I can inspire other women towards greater confidence by making the most of their natural good looks."
It sounds like Mirren was in high demand, too. She was picked for the role after a survey of 9,000 L'Oréal customers voted her as the woman they'd most like to see endorse the brand.
"She is subtle and alluring, and to women in the arts she's an inspiration and a tireless supporter of emerging talent," Elen Macaskill, the general manager for L'Oréal said. "As you can tell I'm a huge fan, and we're incredibly excited to introduce her as an ambassador for our brand."
