NASA Supercomputer Video Shows A Year Of Global CO2

This Is How Much CO2 The World Produces

NASA has released an incredible video showing the global Co2 emissions throughout the year.

The astonishing footage was compiled by a supercomputer which was able to show with astonishing detail both the emissions and the journey they take around the globe.

The video you can see was created using a computer model called GEOS-5, it then takes a year's worth of emissions data and turns that into real-time drift patterns based on the weather at the time and the amount that was being produced.

What results is astonishing, not least because it shows the northern hemisphere's still worrying reliance on producing these gasses but also the huge gap near Antarctica where the Earth remains relatively safe.

While worldwide governments are taking some steps to help curb their usage the video shows the very visual danger that presents us if we continue at our current rate of consumption.
