The Earth is truly beautiful and it's fair to say that there are thousands, if not millions of images out there thanks to the myriad of satellites and spacecraft that are able to capture it.
What we haven't seen though is our planet in 4K. Until now that is.
This stunning timelapse video was compiled by James Tyrwhitt-Drake who took 121 megapixel images from Russia's Elektro-L weather satellite.
Due to the distance of the satellite from the planet it's able to take full ultra high-resolution images of our planet in full without the normal stitching that's required.
