Christmas jumpers are about embracing the most WONDERFUL time of the year. And beating the big chill.
If you're after a style with all the bells and whistles then stick to the light-up designs. However, if you want to do Christmas cheer tastefully then these festive knits are for you.
Now that everyone's on the bandwagon, the Christmas jumper collections on the high street (don't miss these from Primark) and online are endless this year. Not least because it's the dress code for the office Christmas lunch.
If you don't want to go overboard on the flashing/tassel/3D snowflake/red nose front, then opt for a chunky Fairisle knit. Christmassy motifs of the low-key variety can be found at a Topshop, Marks & Spencer and John Lewis.
Motif wise, you can choose anything from stars, snowmen, penguins and crackers to classic seasonal slogans. "Let it snow" is classic, as are "Noel" and "Santa Baby".
Avoid those that read: "Happy birthday Jesus", "Pull my cracker" and "Merry f*cking Christmas" for obvious reasons.
Other haunts to find a smart (non tacky, non musical, non cheap) Christmas jumper? Take a look online at Boohoo.com, BrandAlley.co.uk, BritishChristmasJumpers.co.uk and Sugarhillboutique.com.
