'EastEnders' Spoiler! Look Who's Back...

Barbara Windsor will return as ‘EastEnders’ favourite Peggy Mitchell for the soap’s 30th anniversary celebrations, it has been announced.

The veteran actress will reprise her role as Peggy Mitchell for one episode in February.

Babs is reprising her role, for one night only

Speaking of her return, Barbara states: "I am absolutely thrilled that Peggy has been included in the celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of ‘EastEnders’.

“What an incredible achievement for all the production, cast and crew, past and present".

The show’s Executive Producer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, adds: “Barbara and Peggy are intrinsically linked with ‘EastEnders’, and when we planned our explosive anniversary episodes, Peggy was the first name on our list of hoped-for returns.

“Barbara has not only created one of EastEnders’ most iconic characters, but she’s also hugely loved and missed by everyone here. We couldn’t celebrate thirty years of ‘EastEnders’ without Barbara Windsor.”

Peggy was last seen in September, when she was seen at a villa in Portugal, ahead of Ronnie Mitchell’s return to Walford.

The week-long anniversary week will also include a live episode, and a series of live scenes throughout the week.

Viewers can also look forward to finding out who Lucy Beale’s killer is, and it is thought that the Carter family drama will also take centre stage.
