Peter Andre has revealed he will be spending Christmas without children Junior and Princess Tiaamii – because they'll be with their mum, Katie Price.

The 41-year-old shares custody of his nine-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter with ex-wife Katie Price, 36, and, as he had them last Christmas, he'll be missing out this year.

The singer told Now magazine: "I don't have Junior and Princess this Christmas as I had them last year and it'll be my turn next Christmas, but I've still got loads of things planned for New Year. I can't tell you though – it's a surprise!"

Pete and fiancée Emily MacDonagh have 11-month-old daughter Amelia together, so the couple will be able to share the thrill of her first Christmas.

Peter said: "But I'm really looking forward to the beauty of watching Millie unwrap presses on Christmas Day. It's just going to be fantastic."

Former I'm a Celebrity star Pete has recorded a collection of festive songs but he said his kids didn't realise it was him singing at first.

He said: "I sing the songs with a deeper voice, which I really like.

"The kids love it too. It was really funny because Junior heard one of my songs and I said, 'Do you know who this is?' And he said, 'Yes it's the big guy who won Britain's Got Talent with the big opera voice, Paul Potts'.

"I said, 'I love you son. That's not Paul Potts, that's Poor Pops!'"

Pete's new single Christmas Time's for Family -has all the hallmarks of a classic Christmas song including sleigh bells, harmonies and lyrics about dancing round the tree with loved ones; and according to the Official Charts Company it is a serious contender for Christmas number 1 2014.

But the dad-of-three will have to fight off stiff competition for the Christmas number one spot from this year's X Factor winner, Frozen stars Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell, and the soundtrack to John Lewis' Monty the Penguin advert - a cover of John Lennon's Real Love by Tom Odell.
