Tamzin Outhwaite has spoken about her split with ex-husband Tom Ellis.
Tamzin, 44, and Miranda star Tom, 36, divorced last year and have two children together – Florence, six, and Marnie, two.
Speaking to Essentials magazine, Tamzin said: "There's never been a time where my children have seen me weeping. We're all right. We have a brilliant support network around us.
"I do feel like, once you get over everything, we are not that much worse off. [Tom is] still their dad and they still have a relationship.
"Kids adapt, I have a colourful life. It hasn't gone the way I would have envisaged... it doesn't mean your kids aren't happy."
Tamzin also hinted that she is back on the dating scene, telling the magazine: "There have been some nice people.
"The attention has been lovely. I never lost faith and I hope I never become anti-men. It's quite liberating to be a single woman in your 40s because I feel quite independent.
"It's been a really good time; I've got my confidence back and I feel desirable again. It's taken a while to get there; it's taken a while to let people in but I'm certainly ready and open and up for it."
Ex EastEnders actress Tamzin and Tom were married for eight years. They announced their separation in August 2013, a year after the birth of their second daughter, Marnie.
They divorced in 2014.
Tamzin is best known for starring in BBC drama New Tricks, while Tom played regular character Gary in Miranda, which came to an end over Christmas.
Speaking in the summer of 2014, Tamzin refused to confirm the reason behind the split. Instead she told the Telegraph: "Of course, there's a part of me that wants to set the record straight, but I don't want to put any more stuff out there on to the internet for my children to end up reading.
"If the price for that is being seen in an unflattering light now, then it's one I'm prepared to pay."
