The talented, troubled life of Paul Gascoigne is set to be explored on film, with the former football star sharing his own thoughts, alongside contributions from Gary Lineker, Jose Mourinho and Wayne Rooney, in an intimate new documentary.
'Gascoigne' tells the story of the biggest star to emerge from Italia ’90 World Cup, a renaissance for English football, watched by millions of people across the UK.
Its leading figure was the young Paul Gascoigne - a player who had come to prominence with his hometown club Newcastle United and who, with his talent with the ball and heart worn on his sleeve, had captured the hearts of the nation by the time England went out in the semi-final.
Gascoigne returned home to a hero’s welcome and became a superstar of international football. With his irrepressible spirit and extraordinary skills, he was for a generation of players and fans the most captivating footballer they had ever seen. But things weren't to stay so good for long.
'Gascoigne' is in UK cinemas for one night only - 8 June - and available on Blu-Ray, DVD and Download from 15 June. Watch the trailer above.
