Lionel Richie Draws Glasto's Biggest Crowd For Epic 'Legends' Set

Lionel Richie proved to be the biggest draw of Glastonbury, after his set attracted the most fans of all the acts at this year’s festival.

At least 100,000 people are thought to have watched the singer’s performance on Sunday (29 June) evening, packing the field in front of the Pyramid Stage.

Lionel - who followed in the footsteps of Dolly Parton, Tom Jones and Neil Diamond by occupying the traditional ‘legends’ slot - couldn’t believe the amount of people who had turned up to see him, repeatedly saying: "What the hell is going on?"

The set saw him rattle through some of his biggest hits, including ‘Dancing On The Ceiling’, ‘All Night Long’, ‘Easy’ and ‘Three Times A Lady’.

The Who later brought the festival to a close with their headline set on the Pyramid Stage, following an epic three days of music at the Worthy Farm site in Somerset.

The rockers played a selection of their greatest hits, including ‘My Generation’, ‘Pinball Wizard’, ‘Baba O'Riley’ and ‘Won't Get Fooled Again’.
