Rita Ora And Nick Grimshaw Join Cheryl Fernandez-Versini And Simon Cowell On ‘X Factor' Judging Panel As Auditions Kick Off In Manchester (FIRST LOOK)

Rita And Grimmy Take Their Seats On The 'X Factor' Panel

Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw have officially started their new jobs after posing for the first official picture of them on the ‘X Factor’ judging panel.

The newbies joined fellow judges Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell and new presenters Caroline Flack and Olly Murs in the picture as the first auditions kicked off in Manchester on Wednesday.

Auditions for the new series were supposed to begin on Monday, but were postponed following the news that Simon’s mum, Julie Brett, had passed away, aged 89.

Wednesday’s auditions marked the first time the new-look panel had been seen publicly together, since it was announced that Rita and Grimmy were replacing axed judges Louis Walsh and Mel B last month.

Rita jumped ship from rival BBC talent show ‘The Voice’ after just one series to take a chair on the ‘X Factor’ judging panel, reportedly lured by a £1.5 million contract.

And the ‘RIP’ singer certainly made a big impression on her first day at the office, wearing a red asymmetric dress and thigh-high PVC boots.

Meanwhile, Cheryl donned a strappy black crop top and high-waisted black flares that showed off her uber-slim figure.

After Manchester, the new panel will be heading down to London next Wednesday to film three days of auditions at Wembley Arena.
