This Friends Forever Tampon Is Designed To Be Shared With Your BFF - Two Tampons, One String

A woman has invented a double tampon designed for two gal pals to use... at the same time... while menstruating.

We'll give you a moment to let that sink in.

The concept is simple: two girls, two tampons, one string. Meaning you remain connected to your BFF while enduring your periods together.

The creator of the Friends Forever Tampon, Kat Thek, told The Cut that the tampon is designed to "bring you extremely close to your best friend for up to eight hours at a time".

While we're all for breaking down barriers when it comes to period taboos, this is not what we had in mind.

We can't work out how this would work logistically-speaking. Firstly, How do you get dressed?

Secondly, what happens if one of you wants to go and grab a sandwich?

And thirdly, what happens when it comes to taking it out? Especially if one of you has a heavier flow than the other, (things could get messy).

For those who are genuinely enthralled by this idea but prefer sanitary towels, Thek says there's a Friends Forever Maxi Pad in the pipeline too.
