People are reacting to the latest Snapchat update in the most hilarious way.

Snapchat Lenses allows the video-sharing app's users to apply a variety of bizarre effects to their snaps - freaking their viewers out in the process.

Users simply press down on their faces when taking a selfie and the app then scans their face and allows them to add different filters, the results of which are....interesting to say the least.

And now people are chronicling their reactions to the feature - and it's priceless.

Kids are particularly freaked out...

But then so are fully grown adults...

Rainbow vomit was a thing...

Until Snapchat decided to remove it
