JK Rowling Reveals Further Details About New Play Harry Potter And The Cursed Child

JK Rowling Lifts The Lid On Plans For Harry Potter And The Cursed Child

JK Rowling has taken to Twitter to announce that the much-anticipated Harry Potter play will be split into two parts due to the 'epic nature of the story'.

The play is set to hit London's West End in Summer 2016, but so far details have been kept under wraps, saying that she doesn’t “want to spoil what I know will be a treat for fans”.

The author confirmed rumours that she was working on a play in June, revealing the title as 'Harry Potter And The Cursed Child'.

Rowling insisted that there will not be an eighth instalment of the Harry Potter series, explaining she chose to write the new story as a play instead.

“I am confident that when audiences see the play, they will agree that it was the only proper medium for the story," she said.
