Almost the entire country awoke on Monday to an eerie but beautiful blanketing of fog.
Unless you were in an airport that is, in which case it was just a nuisance as flights around the UK were grounded.
For the rest of us though, it was an opportunity for some fairly breathtaking pictures.

OK, those last two may not be real.
About 45 flights - 10% of departures from Heathrow Airport - were "pre-cancelled" on Monday as most of England and east Wales were issued a weather warning for fog.
Passengers encountered long delays on Sunday at Britain's busiest airport.
